Welcome to Zplitbill! This mobile application ("App") and any associated services (collectively, the "Service") are owned and operated by Zplitbill ("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing, downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
2. The Nature of the Service
Zplitbill is a tool for informal bill tracking and expense management among friends, family, and groups. It is an accounting ledger for personal use and is not a legally binding contract or a debt collection service.
No Legal or Financial Advice: The information, calculations, and balances displayed on Zplitbill are for informational and convenience purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice.
User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all financial decisions and transactions you make based on the information provided by the Service. We are not responsible for any disputes, damages, or losses arising from your reliance on the App's data or your interactions with other users.
3. User Accounts and Eligibility
Eligibility: To use the Service, you must be at least 13 years of age, or a legal minor with the consent of a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
Account Registration: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. No Direct Payments: Zplitbill does not handle, process, or hold any financial funds. All payments are conducted directly between users or through a third-party service. We are not liable for any payment issues, including failed transactions, chargebacks, or unauthorized use of payment methods.
6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including the App, software, design, logos, and trademarks, are owned by or licensed to Zplitbill. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our express written permission.

Our total liability to you for any and all claims shall not exceed the amount you have paid us, if any, in the six (6) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Zplitbill and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Sections 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 11 will survive any termination of these Terms.
